Starting of on a sad note after Warriors lost 2 games in a row:(
Is it due to Stephen Curry’s injuries? He’s hasn’t been himself ! Was so hard for me watch, that I started doing dishes.. that was calling my name for the last half an hour.
But, they are the record breaking team , aren’t they? They will come back … better than ever! Goooo warriors!
Any of us who have gone for fruit picking can understand that you will end up bringing home way more than one can use. Time to get all the creative juices flowing!
This recipe is a fresh take on the classic chocolate covered maraschino cherries. A crispy white chocolate shell covering a slightly chewy and sticky dark chocolate – graham cracker dough wrapped around a fresh juicy cherry inside! A textural adventure for your taste buds!
The dark chocolate graham cracker dough comes together in a few seconds. It is very much like play dough that you can eat, SHHHH…. and bonus, it is chocolatey too! The only time consuming part of the recipe is wrapping the dough around each cherry. I borrowed 2 tiny, (not so tiny now ,sad-faced emoji ) helping hands ! He had so much fun making each one. I can see this being a great play date activity , kids get to play with yummy play dough and they get a snack at the end!
- I used the small jar of a Nutri bullet to powder graham crackers. If you do not own one, then simply crush some crackers in a small zipperloc bag roll with a rolling pin to make fine crumbs.
2 tablespoons dutch process cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons finely crushed graham cracker crumbs
8 medium size bing cherries
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vegetable or corn oil
Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl. Mix with a spoon until it almost comes together and finish mixing with your hand to get a smooth dough.
Divide into 8 equal balls. Flatten each ball with the palm of your hands to about 1 1/2 inch circle , wrap around a cherry to completely cover and seal the cherry.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Combine chocolate chips and oil in a small bowl , microwave for 1 – 2 minutes ,until completely melted. Stir every 30 seconds.
Dip each cherry in the melted chcolate, place on a parchment paper lined small cookie sheet or a dinner plate will work just fine.
Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Once set, cherries can be transferred to a covered container and stored in the refrigerator for about 2 days.
